Hello, World.

My personal slice of the internet.

My name is Felix Koppe. I’m a designer and developer who is curious about how things work underneath. I spend a lot of my time building systems, pushing pixels, and occasionally falling down rabbit holes at 2am.

This blog is where I write about what keeps me up at night. That includes:

Rust. The language that made me rethink everything I thought I knew about writing software. There’s something deeply satisfying about the semantics of this language. It feels like the future of software engineering.

AI. We spent decades making computers faster until everything became instantaneous. And now, with AI, we’re back to watching a progress bar. Waiting for the machine to think. What comes next when even that wait disappears?

Systems thinking. The mental models I find useful for understanding complex things, whether that’s infrastructure, organizations, or a codebase that’s grown beyond anyone’s full comprehension.

Design. Not just aesthetics, but the practice of making decisions under constraints. Good design is invisible.

Glad you’re here.
